Last Night is the debut of screenwriter Massy Tadjedin as a director who also explores the theme of infidelity, those of attraction and temptation that may feel a woman and a married man, yet real in their relationships. Film dialogues exchanged mainly between 4 characters, the film feeds on a simple scenario that will yet lead us into the many thoughts expressed openly like other innuendo, looks, gestures, facial expressions and filmed very closely you can imagine, certainly intended by the director.
With a cast including more prestigious with the bright (and unfortunately too thin) Keira Knightley plays perfectly the ambiguity, Eva Mendes on the lookout for good and far from being indifferent to Sam Worthington rather flat and nonexistent boundary face Guillaume Canet a seducer in her role as Frenchy romantic ...
Time for a long night, the couple goes their separate ways, be faced with the temptation to deceive his own half ... I do not spoiler again because everything revolves around these four characters who are 2 by 2 a night they'll remember .... Some will certainly lengths, others will be interested in this psychological analysis on the reason or reasons people cross the line despite all the promises and pledges made. Last night
dissect romantic relationships with people who like everyone else's strengths and weaknesses especially wondering about adultery and its potential consequences. So fond of this kind of film that still suspense for who will deceive each other? Rather realistic, Last Night will make you think about the mysteries and complexities of human relationships or love itself. The theme is not new, but we appreciate the interpretation of actors with a caveat for Sam Worthington. Finally, we may regret an imbalance in the treatment of the subject finally wanted to demonstrate the various ways to deceive his own half (!)... you to see the movie to know that .... too macho or too feminist? The somewhat abrupt end, as you say ... or not.
