in Aden in August 1880?

Mr. Gunthert spoke recently on the question of the presence of Rimbaud photography of Aden. He ends his article as follows:

"Pace Desse and Causse, I'm not convinced by the comparisons featuring portraits of the bearded figure identified as George Révoil, and is the most obvious resemblance Dutra. We must thank Jacques Welcome to the new progress in studying the document. But the picture of Aden bears the imprint of a technical achievement that must be made consistent with other available information, and that means all the month of August 1880. Dutra, who was in Egypt this summer, is it passed through Aden at that time? No document can prove the contrary. But with a bit of malice, we can say there is one who testifies indeed: it Photo of Hotel de l'Univers. "

Mr. Gunthert says there is no document that would establish that Dr. Dutra was not in Aden in August. A curious way of presenting things. Maybe he should start by reversing the proposal and that there is no evidence that he went there at that time. But I am able, with a bit of malice, to prove that Mr. Dutra was not in Aden in August. I give this detailed information in the coming days. However, I agree with Mr. Gunthert when he finds that the resemblance to the bearded Aden is obvious. Note also that Mr. Desse has published a pictorial "Rimbaud retouched" in the Visual Culture website which Mr. Gunthert is the managing editor. The latter seems to have participated in this case with Jean-Jacques Lefrere. It also seems that it refers to certain articles in the blog Rimbaud drunk.
